A stollen with a wonderfully moist poppy seed filling, rolled into a stollen dough, topped with crispy crumbs and plenty of good butter. We still make our poppy seed filling ourselves, always using freshly crushed poppy seeds, and you can taste it.
Our long poppy seed plait with sprinkles is also known to some as Schlesinger Mohnlänge.
Please note that due to its moist filling, poppy seed stollen is intended for immediate consumption and cannot be stored for extended periods like traditional stollen. If stored in a cool, dry place (max. 10°C), it can last for up to three weeks. However, since we have no influence on storage conditions outside our premises, we label our poppy seed stollen with a best-before date of 14 days from production. However, we strongly recommend storing in the refrigerator until ready to eat!
